Asbestos is a mineral with high fire - retardant and insulating properties. Eternit is a product invented in the early twentieth century in Austria, a mixture of cement and asbestos fibers that combines lightness with considerable resistance to wear, corrosion and fire. Thanks to these characteristics it has been used on a large scale in the production of roofing, pipes, fire panels, tanks, etc..
